The Fort Plain Central School District
recently received a $10,000 grant from Verizon that the district
plans to use for virtual field trips for students in grades K-12.
The district applied for the grant in March.
“This is a big grant for us and we’re very pleased to have it,” said
Superintendent Douglas C. Burton. “It’s indicative of the commitment
Verizon has to educational programs to the area and of the Board of
Education’s commitment to bring quality programs to our students.”
