Welcome Jennifer Schwabrow

The boards of education in Fort Plain and Canajoharie have
named Jennifer Schwabrow as the new director of special education
for both districts.
A Canajoharie special education teacher for the past nine years,
Schwabrow replaces the two districts’ former shared director of
special education, Theodore Arndt, who left the position at the end
of the 2014-15 school year to return to classroom teaching.
“The shared special education director has been a productive
endeavor for both districts and we are pleased to continue the
relationship with Canajoharie.,” Fort Plain Superintendent David
“We’ve had a successful partnership with Fort Plain sharing the
services of a special education director in the past and we look
forward to continuing that relationship into the future,” said
Deborah Grimshaw, Canajoharie Superintendent.
Schwabrow earned her bachelor’s degree in elementary special
education from the State University of New York at Geneseo and a
master’s degree in literacy from SUNY Albany. She earned her
administrator’s certification from the Massachusetts College of
Liberal Arts. Prior to teaching in Canajoharie, she taught in Sharon
Springs for three years.
